Atlantis Redux - S60 3rd Edition - Video & Review

Atlantis Redux is a conversion of a PC graphic adventure game from 2001. It's set in a remote desert, where you crash your car and investigate a mysterious archaeological dig that contains a portal to another world.

I've done a gameplay video which you can watch above, and a detailed review for All About Symbian, which you can read at the link below:

The game uses a Myst-esque system of panoramas based around fixed points in the game world. Instead of moving around, you jump from one point to another, and you can look around in any direction from that point, or interact with hotspots within the panorama (for example talk to people or pick up objects).

It's an excellent game, with some fiendish puzzles, interesting characters and a sweeping plot. It also looks good, and unusually for a phone game it contains a large amount of video cut scenes (over 30 minutes in total). Every line of dialogue is spoken, and the script isn't bad.

Incidentally, you may remember an episodic version of this was released for S60 1st/2nd Edition phones a few years ago. This new version puts all the episodes into one game and has much higher resolution graphics.

Will Atlantis Redux work on my phone?

Atlantis Redux is available for S60 3rd Edition. To check if you can play this game, click here to see our complete list of S60-compatible phones. Note that it only works on phones with QVGA 240x320 pixel screens.
