In case you don't know it, Tibia Micro Edition (aka TibiaME) is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game for S60 smartphones which has been running since 2004. There's just been an S60 3rd Edition version of the game software released, so you can play it on the latest S60 models, and there's now also a J2ME Java version of the software so you can play it on certain normal phones too.
In general, this is a very nice game, and although it has some significant problems (see the review) it really is a phone MMORPG: you see the other players wandering around in real time, you can talk to them, fight monsters together, and trade objects. The gameplay is pretty good fun once you get over the initial hurdles of levelling up, with a massive game world full of quests and there's more content being added regularly. This is the kind of online game that people were expecting to see on the original N-Gage, and many independent mobile developers have talked about building a game like this for years, but developers CipSoft actually went out and did it for real. TibiaME is the first, and so far only, mobile MMORPG.
But don't take my word for any of this. The basic version of the game software is free to download and free to use (apart from phone network data charges), so if you have a S60 smartphone (1st, 2nd or 3rd Edition) or if you have a J2ME normal phone then give it a go. You can get the correct download for your particular phone by visiting the official TibiaME website.
